Type I Polyester - Plasti-Grit® Plastic Blast Media is a soft abrasive grit effective for paint stripping and blasting composites, plastics and fiberglass. Blasting with Polyester is also used for deflashing electrical components without damaging delicate parts. Polyester is the softest plastic media type. Type I meeets the requirements of Mil-Spec MIL-P-85891A and is approved for use by the U.S> Army, Navy and Air Force. Industries include: electronics and paint & coatings.

Type II UREA - Plasti-Grit® Plastic Blast Media is the fastest and most versatile plastic media for paint stripping and coatings removal from cars, aircraft, trucks, trailers, tractors, rail cars, trains, vans, motor homes, boats and buses. Approved by U.S. Air Force for stripping air frames. Type II meets the requirements of Mil-Spec MIL-P-85891A, approved for use by the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force. Industries includ: automotive restoration, paint & coatings and aircraft maintenance.

Type III Melamine - Plasti-Grit® Plastic Blast Media is the hardest and most aggressive plastic media type. Melamine media blasting is ideal for mold cleaning; stripping paints, primers and coatings from steel and hard surfaces; and removing grit & grime from engines, turbines and parts. In mold cleaning, Melamine does not damage molds and is therefore an excellent replacement to glass beads and other hard abrasives. Type III meets the requirements of Mil-Spec MIL-P-85891A and is approved for use by the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force.

Type V Acrylic - Plasti-Grit® Plastic Blast Media is softer that Urea or Melamine and considerably "more forgiving" in the hands of the operator. Acrylic media blasting is recommended for removing paint and coatings from cars, aircraft, trucks, tractors, rail cars, vans, motor homes and marine vessels. Type V meets the requirements of Mil-Spec MIL-P-85891A and is approved for use by the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force. Type VI Clear-Cut® - Plasti-Grit® Plastic Media is a soft abrasive effective for paint stripping and blasting delicate surfaces such as fiberglass, composities, plastics and Corvettes. Blasting with Type VI plastic media preserves the surface profile of delicate parts anda does not mar or pit delicate substrates. Type VI meets the requirements of Mil-Spec MIL-P-85891A and is approved for use by the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force. Industries include: automotive restoration, paint & coatings, aircraft maintenance, non-skid/anit slip surfacing.
